Ballyteige Solar Limited is applying for planning planning permission for the development of a new 110kV substation and grid connection to the existing Thornsberry 110kV substation.
Colehill 110kV substation and grid connection Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID)
The proposed development is to facilitate the connection of Ballyteige (PA Ref: 2198) and Derrygrogan (PA Ref: 22378 and ACP 318041-23) solar farms to the national grid. The proposed development is in the townlands of Ballyteige Little, Wood of O, Corndarragh, Derrnagall or Ballydaly, Ardan and Puttaghan, Co. Offaly.
Following consultations pursuant to Section 182E of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended), An Coimisiún Pleanála determined that the proposed development is a Strategic Infrastructure Development. Therefore necessitates a planning application be made directly to An Coimisiún Pleanála.
